By the editorial staff Anger is brewing in Türkiye after the fatal fire at the Grand Kartal, a huge luxury hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort, in the northwest of the country. Initial reports suggest the fire started around 3:30 a.m. in the restaurant on the fourth floor of the 12-story building, possibly due to a gas leak. The exterior cladding of the building made of wood facilitated the rapid spread of the flames.
