Classes suspended | Fire: Bromptonville High School evacuated — 107.7 Estrie

Bromptonville High School students were evacuated Tuesday morning.

A fire alarm was sounded in the private establishment and classes were suspended for the rest of the day.

According to what we were able to learn, there was smoke present in the school.

The fire apparently started in an electrical room, according to the City of Sherbrooke.

Firefighters were called to the scene. The work took place while bitter cold prevailed in the Sherbrooke region.

Around thirty firefighters were dispatched to the scene, and the damage was mainly limited to the electrical room.
