If the rumors are confirmed, Samsung should launch, in 2025, the new Z Fold and Z Flip, as planned, but also a more affordable Z Flip FE and a mysterious triple-folding smartphone.
The race for novelty promises to be particularly frenetic for the year 2025 for smartphone manufacturers and it is not Samsung who will say the opposite. While the Galaxy Unpacked conference takes place tomorrow, the South Korean manufacturer is preparing to launch 4 folding mobiles for this year 2025.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip SE and a 3-fold smartphone
According to a video published by The Elec and relayed by Android Authority, Samsung should therefore release, without much surprise, the traditional Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, launched in 2024. The new versions of Samsung’s flagship folding smartphones should offer improvements, perhaps with a SnapDragon 8 Elite processor, like the Galaxy S25 range, or even a much thinner design, which seems to be in tune with the times. But for now, nothing has leaked about these models.
There was already talk last December that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Z Fold SE 2, but it would seem more likely that it would be an FE edition (Fan Edition) also mentioned previously, and which would therefore be much more affordable in lower prices than other foldable models.
-But what creates the surprise is the 3-fold model, which should compete with the famous Huawei Mate S shape. According to the Korean media, the Samsung model should measure 15 millimeters thick when folded, which is more than the Huawei Mate XT, and a 10-inch screen unfolded. Among other information gleaned, only 200,000 copies are planned with production announced for the second quarter and marketing at the end of the year.
But Samsung may have competition this year in terms of new design and performance features. Between the Oppo Find N5 which promises to be ultra-thin, or the iPhone 17 Air or the folding iPhone, you only have to turn your head to discover ever more powerful or aesthetically revolutionary smartphones.
