The Department will continue its mission of informing Gersoises through other social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin). The community also joins the new social network Bluesky, developed by a former CEO of Twitter.

“We have made the decision to leave the social network X (formerly Twitter). This choice stems from our disavowal of the recent developments of the platform under the direction of its new owner, ElonMusk. Symbolically, I have decided that this withdrawal will take effect on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
-We believe that freedom of expression should not be used to normalize far-right discourse or allow individuals with anti-democratic positions to redefine the norms of public discussion. Faced with this drift, we have chosen to no longer participate in a space which, in our opinion, compromises democracy and the fundamental principles of respect and inclusiveness, constantly fuels conflict and advocates disinformation without moderation.
This withdrawal is a declaration in favor of responsible and ethical use of social networks, in the service of progressive values and a fairer society.
