A British “neo-Nazi” was sentenced to life in prison on Friday for attempted murder after stabbing an asylum seeker in an attack described as “terrorist” by the judge.

In April 2024, Callum Ulysses Parslow, 32, stabbed Nahom Hagos, a 25-year-old asylum seeker from Africa, in the chest and hand in a hotel in Worcestershire (central England). the East, shortly after buying a knife online for 770 pounds (around 940 euros).

He justified his action by invoking a “form of protest” against the phenomenon of illegal crossings of the Channel by migrants.

He had denied the charges against him but was found guilty of attempted murder last October, following a three-week trial.

Passing sentence at a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court, south London, Judge Ian Dove said Callum Ulysses Parslow, who had Adolf Hitler’s signature tattooed on one arm, had been guided by his “far-right neo-Nazi ideology.”

“You committed a violent and wanton attack on a complete stranger, Nahom Hagos, who suffered devastating injuries,” the judge said. “This is without a doubt a terrorist attack,” he added.

He attached the sentence to a security period of 22 years and eight months.

During the trial, Callum Ulysses Parslow said he attacked the victim because he was “angry and frustrated” by the migrants crossing the Channel.

Before being arrested, he had tried, unsuccessfully, to send a message on the social network his victim.

At his home, police found a second knife, an axe, a metal baseball bat, a red armband embroidered with a swastika, and copies of Mein Kampf.

Callum Ulysses Parslow was also convicted of a sexual offence, unrelated to attempted murder, after sending “offensive” messages to a woman.
