Arson on Victoria Street in Granby – M105 – FM 104.9

A fire occurred around noon today in a 12-unit building located on Victoria Street in Granby.

Emergency services received a report of smoke in the building from which residents were evacuated.

Firefighters from the Fire Prevention Service quickly brought the flames under control.

Residents were able to return to their homes, the damage having been limited to one home.

The investigation showed that the origin of the fire was not accidental.

The police arrested a 67-year-old man from Granby, unknown. He was released on a promise to appear.

He could face arson charges.
