The officer immediately opened the front door of the house, whose owner had left to take his child to school, and took the dog out. He notified the emergency services.

Firefighters from the Val de Sambre area led by Lieutenant Didier Zavarise went to the scene with an imposing cart made up of two pumpers, two tanks, a ladder truck, an ambulance and a logistics vehicle.

On the way, already seeing the large flames escaping from the villa transformed into a torch, and which threatened the neighboring house, the firemen launched a general appeal. They activated several water lances connected to trucks and the public network in order to calm the intensity of the outbreak and prevent it from spreading to the house next door.
