Fake Brad Pitt scam: Anne defends herself and charges TF1

His story has gone around the world and continues to create buzz. Swindled by a fake Brad Pitt who sent her fake selfies, falsified documents, and who made her believe in a love story, a French woman named Anne lost 830,000 euros. Since the media coverage of this incredible affair in the show “Sept à Huit”, the victim has suffered a campaign of cyberharassment on social networks. The TF1 channel therefore ended up removing the report from all its platforms.

Anne doesn’t lose her temper. In an interview given Tuesday to the YouTube channel Legend, the fifty-year-old said she was very angry with TF1. “In this report, the only thing we are going to remember is: Anne fell in love with a fake Brad Pitt. However, initially, I never cheated on my husband,” says the Frenchwoman. “I am a caring woman. I’m not crazy or stupid. (…) I just wanted to help one person. (…) I was fooled, I admit it. I am not the only one in this situation,” she defends herself.

The fifty-year-old, who no longer has a roof over her head, assures that she “takes responsibility” for her story. She says she often had “doubts” and claims to have noticed that certain images that reached her were photomontages. “I am a sensible woman, if you had been in my place, you would have fallen into the trap too. (…) But in the show, obviously, all that is not said,” denounces Anne. The Frenchwoman claims that the journalist who interviewed her “only retained what should not have been retained, to tarnish my image”.

“I went through hell, you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Anne protests again. “You cannot speak and judge how I fell into this scam,” she adds. The fifty-year-old also denies the fact that her relationship with her daughter is strained. “Today, I am angry with TF1, which dared to do such a thing. Because we only remember one thing: Anne was in love with a fake Brad Pitt. And that’s not the story at all,” she concludes, suggesting that she would speak out again.

Keanu Reeves works too

It was thanks to a hacker named Marwan that the YouTube channel Legend was able to get in touch with Anne. This man managed to identify the scammer who caused the loss of the fifty-year-old thanks to banking information and tracking the money she had paid. The hacker sent a booby-trapped link to the suspect, which allowed him to access his phone. The individual, who is in Nigeria, should be arrested in the coming days. He would have caused at least thirty victims, posing as Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves.
