The remains were found “on a beach at Pointe des Châteaux”, in the east of the archipelago, Caroline Calbo, public prosecutor of Pointe-à-Pitre, told AFP.
The man was a “resident of Saint-François”, a town located to the east of Grande-Terre, the most populated island of Guadeloupe, according to the same source.
He showed “traces of stab wounds” again according to the prosecutor. The public prosecutor’s office, a forensic doctor and the gendarmerie services went to the scene.
