Guardiola’s side came close to securing their fourth consecutive victory, but Foden’s double was not enough; the ‘Blues’ also drew 2-2 against Bournemouth, while Fulham, coached by Marco Silva, lost to West Ham.
“When we make mistakes like these, it’s very difficult to win games. We were the more dominant team and created more chances. There was only one team on the pitch trying to win the game until we conceded the first goal, which we gifted to them. We controlled the game and hit the post. We showed quality, but we have to maintain our level throughout the match. We hit the bar again, and even with the mistakes in the first half, it could have been different if we had been effective,” Silva began, visibly frustrated.

“In the second half we knew we had to start strong. We did that and then gave away another goal. We played much better than West Ham. We were dominant in all our games, and that wasn’t reflected in the results, but that’s the reality of the Premier League,” he continued.
-“The result does not reflect what happened on the ground. The best team lost. The team that tried to win and created opportunities did not come out on top. In football we have to be strong on both sides. Mistakes like the ones we made today cannot happen again,” he told the BBC. “This has happened too many times this season. Against Bournemouth, against Ipswich too. We were punished for our mistakes,” concluded the Fulham coach.
