The first round of 16 of the Coupe de France ended this Tuesday with a prestigious poster between Olympique de Marseille and LOSC. On the pitch at the Vélodrome, the Phocéens were keen to confirm their good momentum, just a few days after the victory in Rennes in the championship. But they were finally eliminated on penalties by LOSC (1-1, 3-4 tab). “Disappointment, we gave everything. We were above. He didn’t miss anything. We were serious, until the end, we pushed. We did what the coach asked us. We took this match very seriously. We had opportunities to kill the match. I have nothing to reproach the guys apart from the goal we naively scored. We did what we had to do, we pushed until the end, it came down to penalties. It’s a competition that was close to our hearts but we have to stay motivated and focused on the future, on our dynamics. Of course we are disappointed, we wanted to go all the way, we had the squad for it. Today it was nothing. There was plenty of room to win.”
