Eighth after the first run, Rast made a spectacular comeback in the second run to finish with a total time of 1:55.03. At the age of 25, she offers herself a second World Cup success after winning the Killington slalom last December.

Her compatriot Wendy Holdener took second place at 16/100th, second ahead of Swede Sara Hector, third at 38/100th. Dominant in the first round, Liensberger fell to fourth place, 51/100th behind Rast. The Austrian was 75/100th ahead of Holdener, 94/100th over Hector and 1.50 over Rast after the first round and seemed to be heading towards the fourth victory of her career in the World Cup, but she crashed in the second. The Swiss Mélanie Meillard took fifth place at 57/100th. Kim Vanreusel did not finish the first round.
