Lately, the public’s attention is mainly focused on the highly anticipated season 2 of Severance which arrives this Friday. However, we should not forget Prime Targeta new production of 8 episodes which will be launched on January 22 on Apple +. Here’s what you need to know about this thriller.

What is it about?

Here is the official synopsis offered by the streaming platform:

Prime Target features a brilliant young mathematics researcher, Edward Brooks (Leo Woodall), who is on the verge of a major discovery. If he can find a model for decoding prime numbers, he will hold the key to all the world’s computers. Very quickly, he realizes that an invisible enemy is trying to prevent him from developing his idea. This attracts the attention of an NSA agent, Taylah Sanders (Quintessa Swindell), who is tasked with monitoring and reporting the behavior of mathematicians. Together, they seek to thwart Edward’s disturbing plot.

We will have to see if these good intentions materialize on screen, but this pitch and the trailer nonetheless remain very enticing.
