The motorcycle market held up relatively well last year in our country, but boosted “artificially” by the new Euro5+ standard – and thus, undoubtedly, important promotional offers to be made at the start of the year with large stocks at most manufacturers. At any rate, it is once again Honda which will have drawn the chestnuts from the fire with the registration of 38,988 registrations of new motorcycles in our country in 2024. A first place for the Japanese manufacturer but a drop of 9.3% compared to 2023 (42,967 copies sold).
Peugeot struggling
Behind Honda, we find Yamaha, which for its part registered 32,522 units of its models in France last yeara slight increase compared to a year earlier (+0.4%). It is BMW Motorrad which takes third place on this podium with 20,620 units registered, a decrease of 4.6% compared to 2023. Finally, on the French side, we note that Peugeot, 18th in the ranking, registered 2,538 new models last year, showing a drop of 10.9%, since a year earlier the Lion manufacturer had posted 2,847 registrations of new motorcycles.
