The Lakers have shown good things since the start of the season, but there are still quite a few shortcomings as well. LeBron James is not worried, convinced that the best is yet to come. And he let the rest of the league know it.
With a record of 20 wins for 16 losses before facing the Spurs this Monday evening, the Lakers are confident for the rest of this campaign. Win the title NBA will not be easy, but JJ Redick’s men are capable of great things. The arrival of Dorian Finney-Smith is good and another trade is possible before the famous deadline.
This is not yet a certainty, however, it could offer Lakers better chances of winning the title. No need to tell you how important this is before the retirement of LeBron James, who absolutely wants to leave with an extra ring. But for the King, the Angelinos will improve whatever happens in the coming weeks.
LeBron James confident for the future
Because the most important thing for the Lakers is not to be ready today, but in a few weeks/months for the second part of the season. This is where we will have to raise our voices for the postseason. In a recent podcast, the Akron native is clear: the Angelinos have not yet shown their best face.

LeBron James on the state of the Lakers : “Yes, I think we found our identity this season. I think defensively we want to bring a physical aspect to the game – force teams to do something they don’t like to do. And then offensively, we want to share the pressure. “I also think that we have so much room to become better. We’re not the team we’ll be once we get to February, March. I like our chances. But we’re going to have to keep working hard because that’s all that matters. »
James is therefore satisfied with the turn of events, even if the Lakers are far from being able to win the title. There are still too many gaps and errors and the competition is formidable. Between the Nuggets and the Thunder in the West alone, it is clear that the Purple and Gold are not the favorites. Not currently anyway.
LeBron James is convinced that the best is yet to come for the Lakers, who he believes will be able to raise their level to be among the best. Supporters hope so, especially for one of the King’s final campaigns.
