Japan issued a tsunami warning Monday evening after a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in the southwest of the archipelago, according to the American Institute of Geophysics (USGS).
Waves of one meter are feared after this earthquake off the coast of Miyazaki prefecture, in the Kyushu region, which occurred around 9:19 p.m. (12:19 p.m. GMT).
