This season, in partnership with the French Adapted Sports Federation, the FFF is experimenting with a project to encourage the practice of dedicated to young athletes with disabilities.

The Adapted Para Football Cycle “I LOVE FOOT” is the name of the program developed this season by the Federation, aimed at young athletes with mental and/or psychological disabilities or those with a spectrum disorder. autism, in order to encourage their reception in its clubs throughout the country. It is part of the national partnership agreement which links the FFF and the French Adapted Sport Federation (FFSA), since July 2021.

A sort of drawer name, since in “J’aIME”, we can also read IME, for Medical-Educational Institute. The FFF wishes, in fact, to make these specialized establishments essential players in this project by associating them with a local football club in its implementation and progress.

This Adapted Para Football Cycle “I LOVE FOOT”, a project led by the National Technical Directorate (DTN), thus responds to the federal desire to be particularly active in matters of inclusion. It aims here to allow young athletes (from 12 to 21 years old) with disabilities welcomed in IME to practice football during regular sessions (12 over a period of 5 months), to train and perform, all in benefiting from the supervision and facilities of local clubs.

This season, fourteen experiments are being carried out in ten districts, in collaboration with the local Departmental Adapted Sport Committees, before the desired generalization of the system from the 2024-2025 season. Last Friday, Rémy Moulin and Philippe Le Yondre, respectively presidents of the Côtes d’Armor and Ille-et-Vilaine districts, presented the managers of IME partners and the host clubs with the “22” and “35” jerseys symbolizing the Adapted Para Football Cycle “I LOVE FOOT”, in the presence of Émilie Trimoreau and Fabrice Morel, project managers at the DTN, and Alexandre Steux, National Technical Advisor at the French Adapted Sports Federation.
