After a breakdown on line B yesterday, a breakdown has been affecting line A of the metro this Thursday evening since 4 p.m. Several escape handles were pulled.

The days follow one another and are similar, much to the dismay of Toulouse metro users for two days. After the incident which paralyzed traffic on line B during rush hour this Wednesday January 8 in the morning, it was line A which was interrupted this Thursday.

The total shutdown of the line was announced shortly after 4 p.m. by Tisséo, the Toulouse transport authority. It was explained by “a technical problem on a train between the Jean-Jaurès and Capitole stations”. In detail, Tisséo spoke yesterday of “abusive use of several evacuation handles”, leading to the evacuation of several trains, or nearly 500 people. “This requires lane recognition each time,” indicates Tisséo management.
