Several fires in progress
A violent wildfire broke out late Tuesday morning in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood in the mountains northwest of Los Angeles, as the region was swept by violent gusts of wind, forcing thousands people to flee.
More than 2,000 hectares have already burned according to Los Angeles County firefighters. Tuesday evening, another fire broke out near Pasadena, north of the Californian metropolis.
At least two people died and “many” others were seriously injured, according to local firefighters.
