The funeral of the co-founder of the National Front will be held on Saturday January 11 at Trinité-sur-Mer “in the strictest family privacy”.
A “religious and homage” ceremony to Jean-Marie Le Pen, who died on January 7 at the age of 96, will be held on Thursday, January 16 at 11 a.m. at the Notre Dame du Val-de-Grâce church in the fifth arrondissement of Paris.

Rallies were held in several cities last night to celebrate the death of the former leader of the far-right party, finalist in the 2002 presidential election against Jacques Chirac. Demonstrations condemned by several political leaders and in particular by the Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau.
“Death, even the enemy has the right to respect,” declared government spokesperson Sophie Primas this Wednesday, using the formula used by Jean-Marie Le Pen during the death of Jacques Chirac.
