Faced with the flu epidemic which is affecting the whole of France at the start of 2025, some hospitals are getting organized and changing their habits.
This is the case of the Bonneveine clinicin Marseille (8th): wearing a mask, restricted visits… Here’s what’s changing.
Wearing a mask is compulsory in this clinic
The fault of one phase “of hospital tensions at the regional level”the Bonneveine clinic communicates on its social networks this Wednesday, January 8. The establishment announces in fact “strengthening protective measures in hospitalization departments”.
Concretely, wearing a mask becomes compulsory in the clinic and a limitation of visits to only one person per family is put in place. The establishment also advises everyone to wash their hands regularly, “with the hydroalcoholic solutions made available”.
We also recommend that you wear a mask if you have to consult in other departments of the clinic: medical imaging department, the medical on-call service, the outpatient consultation center, the medical analysis laboratory, the dental center, the medical equipment store and the Zenatti rehabilitation center. Please respect these prevention measures within the Bonneveine clinic site.
The “white plan” activated in certain French hospitals
For several days now, in this first week of January 2025, the “white plan” has been activated in many health establishments.
Concretely, upon activation, the hospital can mobilize all of the human, logistical and medical capacities of the establishment. To give just one example, even employees on leave can be called back to participate in the collective effort.
Hospitals also have the possibility ofopen new bedswith the aim of welcoming more patients, while ensuring continuity of care for other patients. Furthermore, transfers to less stressful services can be organized, as well as certain operations or care deemed to be non-priority can be postponed.
