Building on its title of national champion and supported by the presence of international stars, Al-Hilal, owned by the sovereign wealth fund PIF, generated record sponsorship income in the 2024 season. The club of Neymar and Joao Cancelo recorded a figure of business of 281 million euros for the 2023-2024 season. For comparison, this is more than all the clubs in Ligue 1, with the sole exception of Paris SG.
Under the leadership of Spaniard Esteve Calzada, the club has particularly shone in the commercial field, which represents 60% of its ordinary income (167 million euros). Sponsorship contracts notably brought in 114 million euros, an amount doubled compared to the previous year.
Record turnover, but minimal profit
The arrival of international stars like Neymar, João Cancelo, Aleksandar Mitrović, or the former Olympique de Marseille player, Ronan Lodi, catalyzed this spectacular growth, allowing the club to attract six new sponsors and increase its portfolio to 17 commercial partners.
Despite these record revenues, the net profit displayed remains modest (8,500 euros), a figure which does not, however, include expenses linked to transfers. This is obviously justified by the payroll, inflated by the presence of team executives, like Neymar who is the third highest paid footballer in the world.
