Following the tragic crash of the Boeing 737-800 in Muan, South Korea, a moving story captured the attention of the country's media. Pudding, a dog who belonged to a family decimated in the accident, was found wandering alone in the streets of Yeonggwang, looking for her missing masters, according to information from Le Parisien.
Of the 181 passengers on board, 179 lost their lives, including the nine members of Pudding's family, who were to celebrate the 80th birthday of Bae, the patriarch and owner of the animal. Three generations of this family were present on board the aircraft.

“She was still waiting for her family”
The Care association, specializing in animal protection, said in a post on Instagram: “We found Pudding sitting quietly outside the town hall. When we approached, she ran towards us, as if she was still waiting for her family.”
The animal went back and forth between its masters' house and the village. The association took the dog to Seoul for medical examinations. Volunteers discovered that the animal had consumed unsuitable food, probably provided by villagers who were feeding it. The Care association is now committed to finding a new home for Pudding.
Ongoing investigations
As a reminder, the plane crash, which occurred on December 29, is one of the most serious in history in South Korea. The plane, which was flying from Bangkok to Muan, hit a wall at the end of the runway before catching fire. Only two people survived. South Korean and American authorities are currently investigating the causes of the accident, focusing on a possible landing gear malfunction.
