Rumors regarding an iPhone 17 Air continue to grow. If the smartphone will perhaps not be sold under this name, it appears more and more likely that this new model will see the light of day in 2025. The latest information reaching us on this subject comes from the South Korean media Rest of the Journalwhich contributes to the building of leaks.
According to the publication, Apple is aiming for a thickness of 6.25mm for its iPhone 17 Air, a measure that had already been announced by Bloomberg a few weeks ago. If the Apple brand succeeds, the iPhone 17 Air will be the thinnest iPhone ever sold, the record currently belonging to the iPhone 6 and its 6.9 mm. The iPhone 17 Air would also be 20% thinner than the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus and 25% thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.
A Galaxy S25 Slim to compete with the iPhone 17 Air?
The Rest of the Journal also claims that the price of the iPhone 17 Air will be close to that of the iPhone 16 Plus, which it will replace. The iPhone 16 Plus costs 1,119 euros with 128 GB of storage, 1,249 euros for 256 GB and 1,499 euros for 512 GB.
The technical sheet of the iPhone 17 Air is also starting to take shape. To save money and ensure that the mobile is not much more expensive than the iPhone 16 Plus despite its new design, it would only have a single photo sensor, a 48 MP wide-angle.
