This Thursday, January 2, at the end of the day, an anti-narcotics operation was carried out in Carcassonne, in the Flemming district. This intervention, implemented by police officers from the city police station, also benefited from the reinforcement of the Republican Security Company (CRS). Scheduled as part of the fight against drug trafficking, this operation aimed to dismantle active networks in this sector of the city.
It was around 7 p.m. when the police identified an individual at the scene as a suspected seller of narcotics. When he was arrested, the 24-year-old was in possession of several illicit substances, including cannabis resin, cocaine, as well as cartons of contraband cigarettes. All of these products were seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
After his arrest, the young man was taken to the Carcassonne police station, where he was immediately placed in police custody. The Carcassonne police confirmed that he was still being held there this Friday, January 3, pending potential legal action.
A gold chain torn off
Later in the evening, around 8 p.m., a second intervention mobilized the Carcassonne police officers, this time in the town center of the town. According to reports, a violent incident occurred between two young men. According to the information collected, a 15-year-old teenager approached another young man from behind, before hitting him in the head. He then allegedly ripped off a gold chain that he was wearing around his neck.
Thanks to the responsiveness of law enforcement, the minor was quickly located and arrested in the city center area. After his arrest, he was also placed in police custody, where he remained this Friday. As for the victim, a young man aged 18, he did not present any injuries requiring the establishment of total incapacity for work (ITT).
