AS Monaco is trying to digitally replace Folarin Balogun this winter. The American striker, who had surgery on his left shoulder at the end of last year, will be absent for four months and the Principality club needs to strengthen its attack with only Breel Embolo and George Ilenikhena to play on three tables (Ligue 1 , Champions League and Coupe de ).

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Monaco would have Mika Biereth in its sights. The Danish striker from Sturm Graz would even agree with the Principality club. The 21-year-old striker, born in London and former professional with Arsenal, where he played with Folarin Balogun at youth level, is under contract with the Austrian champions until 2028. An agreement between the two clubs remains to be found .

Monaco would no longer track Ugalde

Biereth was transferred to Graz last summer after being loaned there for six months. It was purchased for more than 4 million euros by the Austrian club from Arsenal while the Londoners would benefit from a percentage on resale.
According to the specialist site Transfermarkt, the agency which represents him is the same as that of Radoslaw Majecki, the Monaco goalkeeper.

If the 1.87m center forward signs, he will not be able to play the last two matches of the league stage of the Champions League with ASM. The Red and Whites still have to face Aston Villa (January 21) then Inter Milan (January 29).
The Dane has already played it with his club this season (6 matches, 2 goals). On the other hand, he could participate in possible play-offs in February.

According to our information, ASM is no longer tracking Manfred Ugalde (22), the Costa Rican international striker (18 caps, 3 goals) for Spartak Moscow.
