Friday morning, the weather will be sunny north of the Sambre et Meuse furrow, while the sky will be generally gray to the south. In most areas there will be a slight frost, possibly leading to slippery conditions on the roads. As the day goes on, the low clouds present in the Ardennes will dissipate, while cloudy fields will arrive again from the Netherlands, with, at the end of the afternoon, a risk of a winter shower in the north. Maximum temperatures will vary between -3 degrees in the Hautes Fagnes and +5 degrees on the Coast.

End of reinforced vigilance on Walloon roads

The phase of reinforced road vigilance on Walloon roads was lifted this Thursday noon, the administration announced in a press release. The south of the country moved to this phase on Tuesday when snowfall was forecast south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow.

The Road Action Unit, made up of the Regional Center for Risk Coordination and the Transmission of Expertise (CORTEX), the Federal Highway Police and the Perex center, has decided to lift the phase of reinforced vigilance due to improving traffic conditions and favorable weather forecasts.
