Have you received a phone call from a certain professional mandated by Veolia, claiming that the water flowing from your tap is not drinkable and that you must install a device to clean it? Be careful, this is a scam!

For months, Veolia has been warning about the fact that fake water service agents are calling their users, all over , to try to sell them a product.

Recently, the delegatee contacted the city of to warn that Antibes is currently being targeted by these fraudulent calls.

“The scammers are trying to create a panic by explaining that they are sponsored by the company to warn users that the water is unsafe,” writes the City. “The water is ABSOLUTELY NOT unfit for consumption and Veolia does not sells no devices or products of any kind. Stay vigilant and report any suspicious calls on this subject to the Antibes toll-free number (0 800 10 20 00) which will transfer your reports to the competent authorities to foil this scam.”

Neighboring town, Biot also relayed the alert on its website: “There is currently no pollution and Veolia does not sell this type of product. Stay vigilant, do not respond and do not buy anything!”
