This Monday, December 30, a 28-year-old man died in Avignon (Vaucluse), reports Provence this Tuesday. A few hours earlier, around 9 p.m., he had tried to outrun the police during a chase, after refusing to comply.
According to information from the regional daily, the individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the events and drove at excessive speed. When the police spotted this scooter, they decided to check it, by activating the sound and light warnings.
He hit a concrete block
According to our colleagues, the motorcyclist was traveling going against the flow, in the bus lane and crossed two red lights. At the rear, the police remained at a reasonable distance from the scooter in question while continuing to pursue it. They never hit him.
The individual has finally lost control of his vehicle and hit a median. The man who lost his helmet in his fall ended up sliding along the sidewalk then hitting a concrete block. He died in hospital from his injuries.
