However, many of them wanted to test their IQ. This Monday, December 30, on M6, QI: Le Grand Test is broadcast, hosted by Stéphane Rotenberg and Mac Lesggy, for the first time as a duo. Throughout the show, four guests attempt to answer numerous questions in different categories, ranging from logic to writing to memory. Iris Mittenaere, former Miss France and Miss World, actress and comedian Julie Ferrier as well as actors Arié Elmaleh and Gil Alma are there to find out what their IQ is. Behind them, four teams made up of 50 people, representing different categories of French: engineers, tattooed people, twins and sports coaches.
As Mac Lessgy explains at the start of the show, the IQ level is starting to stabilize in France and even fall slightly. According to scientists, this is a decline in attention linked to technological progress. The host continues by showing the IQ scale: measured between 90 and 110, this is average intelligence. Above 130, we are considered HPI (High Intellectual Potential). Participants only have 15 seconds to answer each question. Everyone can participate and for this, viewers have the choice: they can bring a simple sheet of paper and a pencil or scan the QR code to participate online.

M6’s big flop?
Once launched, the questions and categories follow one another. But on X, it's the criticism that keeps coming. In fact, many viewers wishing to take part in the quiz were unable to connect to the platform offered by M6, therefore not allowing them to calculate their IQ. They report an app that doesn't work and get upset. Others say the show's format doesn't lend itself to an intelligence test: They say the guests talk too much and the camera constantly moves. Negative comments are pouring in on X and prove that many viewers did not appreciate the format of the show.
