Palestinian media confirmed on Friday evening, December 27, 2024, that a number of medical staff were martyred in the fire at Kamal Adwan Hospital, the last operational hospital in Gaza.

Nearly 30 people were transferred to Indonesian hospital with serious burns. The occupation forces arrested 350 people inside the hospital, including 180 staff members and 75 patients and their companions.

The Palestinian presidency had already condemned the serious crime committed by the Israeli occupation army by burning the Kamal Adwan hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, in the north of the Gaza Strip, which provides services and care to more of 400,000 people, considering that this crime takes place in the context of the genocide of the Palestinian people.

The presidency considered this crime against Palestinian hospitals as a serious and flagrant violation of international law and international conventions and agreements that ensure the protection of hospitals for medical and paramedical personnel during wars, stressing that it falls within the framework Israel’s continuing attempts to implement its plans to force the Palestinian people from their homeland.
