For some years now, Formula 1 has established the recognition of ‘Driver of the Day’which rewards the driver most appreciated by fans at the end of an online vote which is opened in the final phase of each GP. The one to collect these recognitions in 2024 was Lando Norriswho came second in the Drivers' championship, was a fundamental pivot in the Constructors' title won by McLaren and was finally able to break the deadlock in the GPs won category. However, the Englishman also received a lot of criticism for his far from perfect management of the world championship duel with Max Verstappen.
Also on the podium were Ferrari drivers, present and future
Despite some missed passes, Norris collected well seven 'driver of the day' awardsmore than anyone else on the grid. Verstappen stopped at oneonly gaining recognition at the end of his epic comeback victory in the Brazilian GP. Instead, he positioned himself behind Norris Charles Leclercwho has been honored by fans at five races this year: his three victories in Monaco, Monza and Austin and the GPs in Japan and Abu Dhabi. Third step of the podium tied for Lewis Hamilton e Carlos Sainzboth at three.
