Universal has revealed online the first details of the film The Odyssey, the next project directed by Christopher Nolan, arriving in 2026.

Universal has revealed the first details of the next film directed by Christopher Nolan which will be an adaptation of theOdyssey of Homer.
The studio has shared some previews regarding the ambitious project which will arrive in American theaters on July 17, 2026.

The study stated that The Odyssey it will be an epic action movie shot in various parts of the world using the new IMAX technology. The film, according to Universal, will bring the Homer saga to IMAX screens for the first time.

At the center of the plot of the literary classic is Ulysses, king of Ithaca, who faces a dangerous journey to return home after the Trojan War, finding himself faced with obstacles and challenges, even against the deities. Among the characters involved in the story are Polyphemus, the mermaids, the witch Circe, and the protagonist's wife, Penelope.

The cast of Christopher Nolan's new film includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, and Charlize Theron.
