After that defeat came two more defeats against Lecce and Juventus. Bocchetti is the favorite for the bench
Salvatore Bocchetti is the favorite to take Alessandro Nesta's place on the Monza bench: the parties are very close to an agreement. In his last experience he led Verona in Serie A. Bocchetti already knows Galliani from his time at Milan: he wore the Rossoneri shirt in 2015when he arrived on loan from Spartak Moscow for six months. On 19 December 2020, Bocchetti scored the decisive goal in the 90th minute for Pescara (following a rebound from Di Gregorio) in the 3-2 victory against Monza in Serie B.
Monza, Akpa Akpro ready to return on loan
After last season's loan, Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro will soon return to wear the Monza shirt: the player is expected to carry out medical checks. The 32-year-old Ivorian, who is leaving Lazio, has reached an agreement to transfer to the red and white on loan until the end of the seasonuntil the contract with Lazio expires on 30 June 2025.
