The match between West Ham and Brighton ends in a draw. Crystal Palace v Arsenal at 6.30pm

December 21st – 6.27pm – MILANO

For a few hours, perhaps not even, Nottingham Forest are the third force in the Premier League. In fact, while waiting for Arsenal to take the field at 6.30pm, Nuno Espirito Santo's team won on the Brentford pitch with a clear 2-0. This afternoon's cover, however, is all for Alexander Isak, author of a hat-trick with which Newcastle strolls onto the Ipswich Town pitch. 1-1 instead between West Ham and Brighton. Saturday in the Premier League opened with Aston Villa's victory over Manchester City.

BRENTFORD-NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0-2

The early stages of the match were more favorable to Brentford, with Damsgaard warming Sels' gloves after just four minutes with a free kick from the edge of the box. Wissa tries to surprise the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper with a lob after Morato's blunder, but without success (20'). The guests shook themselves in the 32nd minute, when Wood headed home without fail, without dealing with Flekken. In the 38th minute, however, the match broke the deadlock: Williams gained the bottom on the left, Wood didn't find the ball but behind him was Ola Aina who found the perfect diagonal. At the beginning of the second half, the match goes downhill: Lewis-Potter misses the control, Elanga steals the ball, converges and finds the far post with a precise left-footed shot. Brentford tries to get back into the match and they have no shortage of opportunities: Ajer volleys home from a few meters, Sels is miraculous (62').

IPSWICH TOWN-NEWCASTLE 0-4

The show was not long in coming, with the Magpies taking the lead on the first action of the match, when Isak turned an attack from the right into gold that the Ipswich defense did not sufficiently defuse. In the 32nd minute there is Murphy's interlude: Gordon touches the ball to him in the area, the midfielder unloads a powerful right-footed shot which goes in with the help of the crossbar. At the end of the first half, Isak scores a brace. Bad mistake on the way out, the pressure from Bruno Guimaraes puts the Swede alone in front of Muric, who cannot oppose. Isak also scores a hat-trick in the 54th minute: Murphy works a ball into the area, then invents a backheel; the attacker thanks him and shoots towards the corner.

WEST HAM-BRIGHTON 1-1

There aren't many emotions and they are all concentrated at the beginning of the second half, when the only two goals of the match arrive. Brighton take the lead with Wieffer, his first goal with the Seagulls shirt: Rutter stands out and anticipates Fabianski with a high catch, the midfielder takes advantage and deposits it into the net (51'). West Ham's equalizer came seven minutes later and was scored by Kudus, who did well to score with a tap-in header after Bowen's conclusion.
