In the quiet Spanish province of Soria, the shocking discovery of a dismembered body in a cemetery has shocked the small community of the village of Tajueco. The victim, a 33-year-old Cuban man, had been missing for over a year. Authorities arrested two people: the victim’s ex-wife, also of Cuban origin, and her lover, known locally as “El Lobo de Tajueco” (the wolf of Tajeuco).
The investigation, which lasted more than a year, took a decisive turn when Google Street View images emerged that provided crucial evidence.
The images, captured in the village of Tajueco, they showed a man loading a large white envelope into the trunk of a red carraising suspicions that it contained human remains. Another frame depicted the same individual pushing a wheelbarrow with a similar package.
The photo of the man loading the white bag into the car is still visible in Google Maps. According to Google metadata, the image was captured in October 2024.

It is truly incredible to think about the probability that a Google Car, that is, a car used by Google to create an image representation of the streets visible through the Street View tool, would pass near that road, and at that moment, in the village of Tajueco which has around 50 inhabitants.

A love triangle
The case began in November 2023, when the victim’s brother reported him missing. The missing man had come to Cuba in Spain to reunite with his wife, unaware that she had begun a relationship with another man. Disturbing messages sent by the victim shortly before her disappearance, coupled with her sudden silence, prompted police to launch an in-depth investigation. Searches, interceptions and inspections finally led the authorities to the suspects.
On November 12, 2024, police arrested the victim’s ex-wife and her lover. Subsequent searches led to the discovery of human remains in the Romanesque cemetery of Andaluz, a small village near Berlanga de Duero. The remains, in an advanced state of decomposition, included a torso, but several body parts were missing. Forensic experts are working to confirm the victim’s identity.
Authorities suspect the murder arose from a love triangle. After discovering his wife’s affair, the victim’s confrontation with the couple may have led to his death. Investigators believe the crime was premeditated and involved both suspects.
