Cambio in Red Bull
This time it was Red Bull who warmed up the dead period with the engines off. The news of the change between Liam Lawson and Sergio Perez it was indeed in the air, but now it has also (finally, after months of speculation) materialized. First with a press release through which the Milton Keynes team announced Checo’s farewell and then, a few hours later – and with a night in between to let the news settle – with the formalization of the New Zealander’s engagement alongside Max Verstappen. A full promotion for Lawson, who made the Racing Bulls team principal proud, Laurent Mekies.
Mekies saluta Lawson
“I want to congratulate – Mekies said regarding Lawson’s promotion – with Liam! Everyone at Racing Bulls is very proud to see him move to Red Bull Racing. Obviously, we would have liked to have him with us for a little longerbut one of our main missions here is to be an incubator for young talent from the wider Red Bull family. And seeing Lawson’s career progress is a testament to the great work done this year, both by him and the team. We wish him the best, but we’re sure he’ll be amazing. We can’t wait to see it on track in 2025”.

The French engineer, former sports director of Ferrari However, he has not yet announced who will replace the 22-year-old, but there are few doubts about this too and what is expected is only the publication of the press release complete with celebratory photos and ritual declarations: it will most likely be the French-Algerian Isack Hadjarvice-champion of Formula 2 behind Gabriel Bortoleto, driving together with the (for now) “rejected” Yuki Tsunoda.
