Lewis Hamilton says goodbye to Mercedes and also talks about his future: Ferrari fans already anxious
The last race of the World Championship in Abu Dhabi, place of a thousand battles for Lewis Hamiltonit was also the Briton’s last Grand Prix wearing the colors of the Silver Arrows. The tears were not lacking but neither was the desire to continue doing well in view of the next experience Ferrari. Furthermore, Hamilton also took the opportunity to talk about his future.

Hamilton walked through the doors of Brackley, the historic headquarters of the team, visibly emotional: all the Mercedes employees welcomed him with long applause, while all his single-seaters were displayed in the central hall of the factory. The emotion was incredible, Lewis himself couldn’t handle it easily due to the so much love coming from all the members of the Anglo-British team.
In Brackley, as in Brixworth, there was no shortage of his companions in a thousand battles: the team principal Toto Wolff and the now ex-partner in the team George Russell. Both welcomed him with long applause, aware of the historical importance of his figure in Mercedes.
Hamilton greeted Mercedes with a long speech, published entirely on the team’s official channels. There was no shortage of emotional words and some hints about the near future. “There is so much talent and passion in here, anyone would be lucky to work with you. I hope when I’ll stop to run, I will be able to come back here and look back on the good memories with all of you”, Hamilton said.
In Brixworth, the pilot was even clearer, throwing out some clues for the near future: “Mercedes changed my lifecI believe in you and am very proud of all the success we have had. I hope to be able to return in a fewanno”. In short, Lewis is already thinking about post-retirement.
