Firefighters from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis 41) were called upon by a fire which started on the evening of Monday, December 16, in a home in Salbris.

The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. in the bedroom of a house located on rue Régis-Deschamps. Four people, two adults and two children, were in the home when the fire started, for a reason still undetermined.

Firefighters from Salbris, Theillay, Romorantin, Nouan-le-Fuzelier and Lamotte-Beuvron intervened quickly, including the large ladder and two ambulances. The fire had started to spread to the roof when emergency services arrived. Two of the occupants, who had burns, were examined by firefighters. One of the people was transported to the Romorantin hospital center in a state of relative emergency.

The affected family was relocated with relatives. The gendarmerie and an on-call elected official came to the scene. Firefighters carried out reconnaissance rounds during the night and early morning to ensure that the fire was extinguished.
