Jean-Phillipe Krasso, the Ivorian international, is one of the players who gave the Ivorian nation its third star last February during the CAN 2023.
The Paris FC striker was a member of the team led by Emerse Faé for the coronation in Abidjan against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Apart from the joy felt after the final victory, Jean-Phillipe Krasso and his teammates also experienced many other emotions at the time.
While they got off to a very bad start after their historic defeat (0-4) against Equatorial Guinea in a group match at home, the Elephants were able to turn things around.
Objects of all the insults during periods of difficulty, Emerse Faé players turned the tide and made their millions of supporters proud.
The adventure was very emotionally charged for the players and for Jean-Phillipe Krasso, there was no question of reliving this kind of experience even if there was the CAN at the end.
“We won, it’s magical. But if I’m asked to relive the entire CAN, no thanks. (Laughs.)
It was stressful, incredible, catastrophic. Too many adjectives. Today, I am proud to say that I am an African champion.
In addition, I had the number 11… As an Ivorian striker, the number 11 is Drogba, my youth idol”declared the Paris FC scorer.
The former AS Saint-Etienne player is certainly proud of having won the CAN during his career, but cannot forget the pressure they had on their shoulders during the competition.
