Angélique Angarni-Filopon makes Miss France history! Crowned at 34, the young woman dedicated her victory to “all those who were told it was too late”. But what do we know about the private life of this lovely Martinique woman?
Angélique Angarni-Filopon showed that resilience and daring paid off: the 34-year-old young woman had finished 1st runner-up to Miss Martinique in 2011, but decided to try her luck again despite the fact that she was, by far, the oldest of the candidates. And this risk-taking paid off! But what do we know about the private life of Miss France 2025?
Angélique Angarni-Filopon embarked on the Miss France adventure after a romantic breakup!
The new beauty queen, who worked as a flight attendant, experienced a particularly difficult period before embarking on the Miss France competition. “A breakup led me to what we hate the most, depression.n”, she confided to Parisian. But the young woman was able to transform her pain into a driving force to realize the dream that was running through her head: “I felt that I was sad every day and that I needed to changer (…) I went to Martinique and it was obvious“.
Is Miss France 2025 in a relationship? Does she have children?
However, if the Martinican, who comes from Fort-de-France, agreed to reveal these details, she revealed that she did not intend to speak on this subject. Is she in a relationship? “You won’t know! I don’t want to mix work and private life“, she assured. The message got through.
“I dedicate my victory to all the women who were told it was too late“, she declared on stage, after her victory. With this coronation, Angélique Angarni-Filopon intends to break the clichés linked to age. “There is no expiration date. I am young, I have no children, I have acquired nothing, I am not an owner. Age-related loyalty cards are hard“, she explained in particular.
Angélique Angarni-Filopon’s victory is also a little revenge on all those who have mocked her over the years, since her young age. “I was very small until CM2, and I had front teeth, they called me little pony“, remembered the one who suffered school harassment and thus revealed the atrocious nickname she inherited.
Why Angélique Angarni-Filopon will not be able to participate in Miss World
While Clémence Botino, Miss France 2020, participated in Miss World a few months ago, finishing in the top 40, Angélique Angarni-Filopon will probably not be able to enter the competition. If the rules of the Miss France competition were relaxed, which allowed the thirty-year-old to win the crown, it is not the same for Miss World. Candidates must be between 16 and 27 years old, which excludes our new Miss France from the competition. However, the Martinican will be able to run for the Miss Universe election, where there is no age limit.
