But the young woman was able to transform her pain into a driving force to realize the dream that was running through her head: “I felt that I was sad every day and that I needed to changer (…) I went to Martinique and it was obvious“.

Angélique Angarni-Filopon’s victory is also a little revenge on all those who have mocked her over the years, since her young age. “I was very small until CM2, and I had front teeth, they called me little pony“, remembered the one who suffered school harassment and thus revealed the atrocious nickname she inherited.
Why Angélique Angarni-Filopon will not be able to participate in Miss World
While Clémence Botino, Miss France 2020, participated in Miss World a few months ago, finishing in the top 40, Angélique Angarni-Filopon will probably not be able to enter the competition. If the rules of the Miss France competition were relaxed, which allowed the thirty-year-old to win the crown, it is not the same for Miss World. Candidates must be between 16 and 27 years old, which excludes our new Miss France from the competition. However, the Martinican will be able to run for the Miss Universe election, where there is no age limit.
