American actress Jill Jacobson, known for her roles in the series Star Trek: The Next Generation or Falcon Crestdied on December 8 in a hospital in Culver City, California. She was battling a long illness, her publicist revealed to Variety. She was 70 years old.
“Beautiful, energetic and positive to the end, she will be deeply missed by many family members, friends, and her beloved dogs Benny and Kowalski,” her family said in a statement relayed by Deadline.
Decade-long career
After studying at the University of Texas at Austin, Jill Jacobson moved to Los Angeles. She started her acting career with the leading role in the horror film Nurse Sherrireleased in 1977, before multiplying appearances in various series over the following decades: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Days of our lives, Castle, Madame is served, Code Quantum…
She also starred in 22 episodes of the series Falcon Crestbroadcast between 1981 and 1990, and eight episodes of The New Gidget. In the cinema, we saw her in Splash by Ron Howard, alongside Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah. She also worked as a theater actress and evolved in the stand-up world.
