In this context, kyiv fears being forced to negotiate an agreement that would not take into account its requirements in terms of sovereignty and security guarantees.
Several European countries, including France and Germany, have begun discussing sending troops to Ukraine to secure a possible future ceasefire.
But above all they insist on the need to support Ukraine now so that it is in a position of strength before any possible negotiations.
