Launched in 2022, the Alfa Romeo Tonale is not experiencing the success expected by the brand. But it's still a little early for a real restyling. Alfa Romeo is therefore carrying out a slight update, with some redesigned elements such as the dashboard with more attractive plastics, a new round gear selector instead of the old lever or even improved meter displays for greater readability . Presented at the Paris Motor Show last October, the Tonale update is arriving in dealerships at the end of the year. Enough to discover in detail the prices, which we did not yet know. And with a little surprise!
During the presentation of this Tonale “2025”, Alfa Romeo did not specify it, but the range of engines has also undergone modifications. In France, two engines simply disappeared. These are the entry-level petrol 1.5 micro-hybrid with 130 hp, and the plug-in hybrid 1.3 with 190 hp. A rather surprising choice on the part of Alfa Romeo, which therefore technically raises the access prices of the Italian SUV.
A more expensive entry-level

Indeed, the entry-level Tonale becomes the 130 hp diesel, necessarily a little more expensive than the gasoline equivalent. This block also takes the opportunity to raise its prices by €800, with a bill of €42,500 now in Sprint finish, instead of €41,700 previously. In high Veloce finish, the bill rises to €48,000. The cheapest petrol unit is now the 1.5 micro-hybrid of 160 hp, which also suffers an inflation of €800 and is now priced from €44,000. On the other hand, the 1.5 petrol suffers a lower penalty than the diesel thanks to micro-hybridization, with 129 g/km of CO2 announced (i.e. €280 tax in 2024) compared to 139 g in diesel (i.e. €898).
Only the remaining PHEV variant, which displays 280 hp, does not change its prices. It therefore remains available from €53,300 for entry-level Sprint, or from €58,800 for the Veloce finish. This still allows an electric range of 61 km thanks to a 15.5 kWh lithium-ion battery.
