Alfa Romeo Tonale 2025: slight price increase everywhere, except in one country

As announced 2 months ago, Alfa Romeo's Tonale SUV is getting a facelift for 2025, and if the aesthetic and technological update is far from obvious, thePrices are experiencing a slight increase almost everywhere. However, one country stands out by offering a price reduction: the United States.

A slight price increase in Europe

Alfa Romeo is taking advantage of the year 2025 to make pricing adjustments to your Tonalea model already well established in the Italian manufacturer's range. This update comes against a backdrop of a slight drop in sales, with the aim of rekindling consumer interest.

Italy

In Italy, the 2025 version of the Tonale sees its price increase by €1,250 for the 1.6L 130 hp diesel version, which goes from €39,350 to €40,600. The 1.5L MHEV 160 hp gasoline hybrid version sees a similar increase, going from €41,150 to €42,400. As for the PHEV 1.3L 280 hp plug-in hybrid version, its price increases from €51,700 to €52,200.

Note that Italy is the only country to benefit from significant discounts:

• Tonale Sprint 1.6 diesel 130 hp for €40,600, with a promotional price of €38,620;
• Tonale Sprint petrol mhev 160 hp €42,400 with promo price €40,330;
• Tonale Sprint petrol phev 280 hp €52,200 with promo price €45,640.

France

In France, price increases are also present but remain moderate. The Tonale Sprint 1.6L diesel goes from €41,000 to €42,500, while the 160 hp MHEV gasoline hybrid version goes from €42,500 to €44,000. The PHEV 1.3L 280 hp plug-in hybrid version is also increased, going from €52,600 to €53,300.

Germany

Same situation in Germany, where prices follow a similar trend, with an increase of €1,500 for the diesel version (from €39,300 to €40,800) and price increases on the hybrid versions.

United Kingdom

For our British friends, prices for the MHEV 160 hp and PHEV 280 hp gasoline versions remain unannounced for the moment. The diesel version still does not seem to be available.

UNITED STATES

The surprise comes from the United States where the price of Tonale has seen a notable drop. The 2.0L petrol version with 268 hp, exclusively available in North Americasees its price drop from $44,995 to $38,530, a reduction of more than $6,000. The PHEV 1.3L 280 hp plug-in hybrid version also drops by $6,965, going from $54,995 to $48,030.

The end of the 1.5L MHEV and 1.3L PHEV 190 hp versions

Another new feature for 2025 is the disappearance of two engines from the range : the 1.5L MHEV 130 hp petrol version and the 1.3L PHEV 190 hp plug-in hybrid version. Alfa Romeo thus simplifies its offer to concentrate on more powerful engines. Note that the 1.3L PHEV 190 hp was mainly intended for businesses for tax reasons. The 1.5L MHEV 130 hp version perhaps seemed a little light compared to the performance of the 160 hp. This Tonale MY25 should now benefit from an advertising campaign.
