To the tune of Bernard Pivot in “Apostrophes” or Jérôme Garcin in “Le Masque et la Plume”, I am writing this post to you while puffing out my chest!
Did you know? In the literary world, the Landerneau Prize, awarded by our booksellers, has the reputation of being a real lucky charm for writers.
It is well endowed financially, extremely well promoted in the brand's 215 Cultural Spaces and benefits from an advertising campaign. There is a version “Thriller Prize”, “Comics”, “Children's Book” and a large “Readers Prize” which I am telling you about here.
Read this summary, please:
– In 2017, Alice Zeniter with ”The Art of Losing” published by Editions Gallimard received the Prix Landerneau… Then the Goncourt des Lycéens.
– In 2019, Sylvain Prudhomme with ”Par les routes” published by Editions de Minuit won the Landerneau prize… Then the Femina Prize.
- In 2021, Clara Dupont-Monod with “Adapter” published by Stock won the Landerneau Prize… Then the Femina Prize and… Le Goncourt des Lycéens.
- In 2022, Emmanuelle Bayamack-Tam with ”La Treizièmeheure” published by Éditions POL won the Landerneau Prize… Then the Médicis Prize.
- In 2024, Kamel Daoud with ”Houris” published by Gallimard won the Prix Landerneau… And finally also the Prix Goncourt.
Clearly, the reference in terms of prices (food or… literature) is Leclerc's “Landerneau”! ☝️
