A man in his twenties is suspected of having shot dead five people Saturday afternoon in the Dunkirk area. The suspected shooter went to the police on his own. According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect had a dispute with his ex-boss, and with former colleagues.
A business manager, two security agents and two migrants were shot dead on Saturday near Dunkirk, in Wormhout and then on the outskirts of Loon-Plage. The suspected shooter, a man in his twenties, went to the police station late in the afternoon. According to the first elements of the investigation, the main suspect was angry with his ex-boss for not having kept him after a dismissal or the end of his contract.

A blow prepared for several days
The lawyer of the alleged shooter, Maître Planckeel, confirmed to Europe 1 that Paul, the suspect in the five murders, had been preparing his attack for several days. He had legally purchased weapons and others belonging to his father, a hunter.
A 22-year-old truck driver, Paul is registered with a shooting club. He also lives with his parents, in Ghyvelde, a town which houses the gendarmerie where he went. In police custody, the man cannot explain his murderous journey.

The first victim, his former boss, is killed at his home in front of his wife and children. An hour later, two port security agents were shot dead, two ex-colleagues from another company. He was also angry with them, but the dispute remains quite vague, relates his lawyer. Finally, the last two victims, two exiles, were in front of a migrant camp on his route.
