The singer Liam Payne, ex-member of One Direction, died Wednesday October 16, 2024 at the age of 31 after falling from the balcony of his room located on the 3rd floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel, in Buenos Aires. The artist’s behavior before his fall had seriously worried the hotel manager who had contacted emergency services. Alarmed, he declared: “We have a client who is under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He is destroying everything in his room. We need you to send someone, please. Urgently, because his life could be in danger. He’s in a room with a balcony, we fear that he will put himself in danger“. He has since been buried but the investigation into the circumstances of his death continues. Last November, the media TMZ revealed that Liam Payne did not commit suicide, as many may have thought, but that he tried to escape via the balcony of his room, without realizing the danger being under the influence of different drugs. The American media specified that escaping through the window was a frequent practice for the artist when he felt “threat”. This hypothesis seems to be confirmed by the fact that Bear’s dad, the fruit of his love affair with Cheryl Cole, was found carrying a bag over his shoulder at the time of his death.

The investigation therefore continues and on December 10, Rolling Stone revealed that two new people will soon be questioned by the authorities. We could read that two men “will be questioned on December 17 at 10 and 11 a.m. Suspects may refuse to answer questions through their lawyers. A waiter, named Braian Paiz, whom prosecutors want to charge in connection with the death of Liam Payne has also admitted that he had used cocaine with the singer, a drug that he himself had brought in his room.
He exclusively explained to media outlet TMZ that he partied with the singer, then they drank whiskey and did cocaine. He claimed to have gone to the singer’s room twice to party, and the second time only two days before the artist’s fatal fall. “Braian says he saw drugs scattered everywhere… with the Dove soap box and foil that were seen in photos taken after Liam’s death”indicates TMZ. And to specify that the waiter did not accept money in exchange for this cocaine and that he even refused the Rolex watch offered by the ex-member of One Direction to pay him. He nevertheless admitted to having accepted a single gift from Liam Payne: a drawing that the singer made of half of Braian Paiz’s face. No more, no less.
