How has “En société” been doing since its change of incarnation? Three months ago to the day, on Sunday September 15, Émilie Tran Nguyen took charge of the Sunday magazine launched by Karim Rissouli a year earlier. The first, hosting the program, by the columnist of “C à vous” was followed by 598,000 viewers and 4.4% of the entire public in the 6:30 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. slot. For comparison, on September 17, 2023, the very premiere of 'En société' interested 361,000 viewers and 2.2% of the public.
Up to 895,000 viewers and 5.2% of the public for “En société” this season
Émilie Tran Nguyen did not stop there. The journalist, who worked for France 3 and Franceinfo, mobilized up to 895,000 viewers and 5.2% of the public on Sunday October 27, 2024. If this is an audience record for the magazine, Karim Rissouli had brought together up to 5.4% of the public for its last presentation on Sunday June 23, 2024.
At its lowest on Sunday September 29, 2024 this season – with 406,000 viewers and 2.8% of the public – “En société”, then little known to the public, had been below this threshold during these first two broadcasts in September 2023.
Since the start of the season, the magazine with Émilie Tran Nguyen has brought together an average of 678.000 viewers and 4,3% individuals aged 4 and over. The magazine recruited new viewers over one year: 580,000 regular viewers followed the program with Karim Rissouli between September 17 and December 17, 2023, or 3.4% of the public.
Karim Rissouli “200% focused on 'C this evening'”
After “Political C” in 2022 and “The Lie Factory” in 2023, Karim Rissouli handed over control in 2024 of the magazine “En société”, a France 5 program that he launched on Sundays in prime time access during the season passed. “Letting go of 'En société' wasn't an easy decision to make because it's a show I care about, but it seemed quite natural to me.“, he confided to Puremédias at the start of the school year.

“At the end of June 2024, when we were still in the middle of the legislative campaign, we quickly said to ourselves that the show which had until now been recorded on Fridays had to go live systematically every Sunday (.. .) I immediately said that if 'En société' went live, I wouldn't be able to cover Sunday in addition to 'C this evening'. A daily and a live broadcast on Sunday is too much for one man. It was quite natural to choose “C this evening” and to concentrate 200% on “C this evening” by recovering the entire presentation of the show since I had given up on Thursday (to Camille Diao, editor's note ) so far“, he explained.
