1 – Dominican Republic: easier entry for French and Belgians
This December 1, 2024, the Dominican Republic extended its exceptional measure concerning the validity of passports for travelers from several countries, including those of the European Union. Initially scheduled to end on November 30, the General Directorate of Migration of the Dominican Republic confirms today VisasNews that this provision is now extended until November 30, 2025.
This facility allows tourists to enter the Dominican Republic with a passport valid only for the duration of their stay, without requiring the additional six months of validity usually required.
2 – South Korea: exemption from K-ETA in particular for the French, Belgians and Swiss
South Korea has decided to extend the K-ETA temporary electronic travel authorization exemption granted to visitors from 67 countries until December 31, 2025.
This extension of the K-ETA waiver period, which was initially scheduled to end on December 31, 2024, aims to encourage tourism by facilitating access to the country for travelers from eligible nations.
3 – From January 1, 2025, Israel will make it mandatory to obtain an electronic travel authorization “ETA-IL” (Electronic Travel Authorization for Israel) for citizens of visa-exempt countries. ETA request HERE
